BALL-ACTON Reginald Thomas Annesley Major, 7th, Kings Yorkshire Light Infantry died 22/5/1916 age 38. Son of Charles Ball-Acton, C.B. (Col of the K.O.Y.L.I) and Georgina Cecilia, husband of Isabel Diguis, nee La Touche of Kilmacurragh, Co Wicklow, Ireland. Buried at White House Cemetery, Belgium. Sp mem.9

BLANCH Alvan Digby On memorial as Trooper, Gloucestershire Hussars. (CWGC have him listed as Pte 40263, 2nd Worcestershire Regt,  died 5/11/1916. Commemorated on the  Thiepval Memorial, Somme. Birth registered at Chipping Sodbury, Glos 1891)

BRAIN William John Pte, 20138, 4th Grenadier Guards died 13/4/1918 age 22. Son of James and Mary Ann of Chain Gate Road, Iron Acton. Commemorated on the Ploegstreet Memorial, Belgium

COLBOURNE William Henry Pte, S/19, 1/6th Gloucestershire Regt died 15/8/1916 age 26. Son of Joseph and Mary Ann of Northmead Lane, Iron Acton. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial

JONES William Thomas Pte 3117, 8th Gloucestershire Regt died 9/7/1917. Son of Reuben and Selina Ann, nee Williams of  Chain Gate, Iron Acton. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium

PRITCHARD Frank  Pte 266705, 2/6th Gloucestershire Regt died 23/8/1917 age 20. Son of Charles and Elizabeth, or North Road, Yate  nr Bristol. Buried at new Irish Cemetery, Belgium. Previously served as Pte 4895, Gloucestershire Regt
