The monument is located at the junction of Cleeve Road and Malleson Road, Gotherington, Nr. Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK. Unveiled on Sunday p.m. November 16, 1919 at a service conducted by the vicar of Bishops Cleeve, assisted by the rector of Woolstone and Rev. Mr. Nicholls, Wesleyan minister. The memorial was designed and executed by Mr. J. A. Oakey of Winchcombe. Panel 1 (Front, facing towards Bishops Cleeve) Erected to the memory of Gotherington men who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 - 1918. Their name liveth for evermore.
